Getting Started with A to B

A to B is a powerful tool that automatically routes elements with clash-free routing in Autodesk® Revit®. Watch Demo Videos or read below to understand how to use the tool effectively.

A to B Basic Usage

To create an automatic route between elements:

  1. Click on the A to B button in the Thermist panel.
  2. Select the starting element.
  3. If adjacent similar elements are selected, confirm which elements you want to use.
  4. Select the ending point.
  5. Thermist will automatically generate a clash-free route between the element(s) and clicked point.
  6. Review the generated routing and make any necessary adjustments.

A to B Custom Route

A to B provides optional flexible routing to match your project requirements:

  1. Click on the A to B Custom Route button in the Thermist panel.
  2. Select the starting element.
  3. If adjacent similar elements are selected, confirm which elements you want to use.
  4. Select the ending point.
  5. Confirm desired pathway by adding nodes and shifting custom route.
  6. Thermist will automatically generate a clash-free route between the element(s) and clicked point.
  7. Note the routing algorithm prefers the pathway but won't follow it exactly, it still avoids clashes.
  8. Review the generated routing and make any necessary adjustments.
