Getting Started with Coil Connect
Coil Connect is a powerful tool that automates branch piping connections from coils to nearby mains in Autodesk® Revit®. Watch Demo Videos or read below to understand how to use the tool effectively.
Basic Usage
To create a connection between a coil and a main pipe:
- Click on the Coil Connect button in the Thermist panel.
- Select the mechanical equipment family you want to add branch piping to.
- If this is the first time you are using Coil Connect, you will need to select the main pipes you want to connect to.
- That's it! Just verify the modeled piping after Coil Connect has finished running.
Adding Valves
Coil Connect can also model in valves with the branch piping. To configure valves:
- Click on the Settings button in the Thermist panel.
- Select a coil family and type from the lists.
- Then for each valve spot - click on the box to select desired valve family and type.
- After this is complete, Coil Connect will automatically add the valves to the branch piping when it runs.

In addition to customizing valve configurations, you can also clear saved data:
- Clear saved Thermist valving data one specific family or all families.
- Clear saved Thermistsystem type for one specific family or all families.
- Clear all saved Thermist data.
